Our favorite slobberpot

Slobberpot. That's the new nickname we have for Jason since he started a drooling fetish this last week. Other than the drool, his eye gunk still lingers, and the last two weeks have also seen quite a few outfits ruined by poopy diapers, so keeping him clean keeps us busy. On the upside though, his cradle cap hasn't worsened and his acne is clearing up, so that's some consolation. Hygiene aside, his silly quirks keep us busy as well.

One of those quirks is that when you hold him, he will often squirm and fuss until you are holding him in just the right position. Sometimes, this requires standing up, tilting your head, or as daddy found out yesterday while unloding the dishwasher, doing this:

Jason was so happy laying like that over daddy's shoulder. And when Jason's happy, you can't help but be happy. My favorite time of the day is in the morning once Jason has been fed, burped and changed. Just like clockwork, he is awake and cooing, happy as can be. Here's a video clip, taken last week, that captures his smiles and sounds.

Careful - his happiness is contagious. Don't watch unless you plan to smile.
